Poppy ash

The abstract work unfolds on a wooden panel, composed of numerous approaches to texture, with elements of burned paper treated with water/dyes and various coatings of gesso and gauze, enhanced by red wax as the primary graphic element, accompanied by an element of raw fabric and similar filaments. The work presents itself as an introspective interpretation of the grandeur and, at the same time, the simplicity of history, of its indelible marks and all its ashes. It is a different way of perceiving the past with young hands and eyes, and of continuing to pass on the delicacy of the past.
