Respiro e Libertà

When I was at Milan airport, exhausted after almost an entire day of traveling from Palma de Mallorca to Naples — for a long-distance relationship that, when it’s beautiful, doesn’t feel heavy — a very kind woman approached me to invite me to take part in this artistic project.

This project has come into my life at a very particular moment. I am going through a phase of transition and confusion: after building my entire life in Spain, studying Pedagogy and completing a master’s degree in teaching, I now find myself questioning everything. For a long time, I imposed on myself an extremely high level of expectations and control, seeking a sense of security that was, in reality, illusory.

Today, I am beginning to let go of this self-imposed pressure and to allow myself to live, explore, and move toward places where I can reconnect with myself. Nature is one of those spaces. In Mallorca, I hold the most authentic memories of my childhood: playing, getting dirty, simply being myself, without judgment or restrictions. Just breathing, far from frantic rhythms and from the expectations that so often pull us away from our true essence.

I deeply believe in art as a space of transformation. Art does not follow rigid rules, it knows no barriers of language or gender, and it does not require perfection. It welcomes, integrates, and reaches those it is meant to reach. It is a space where everyone can be.

For this reason, I feel that this project resonates with me and with the moment I am living, because it represents freedom, authenticity, and a return to essence.
