Il Clown

An old clown offers the viewer a gift box, inside which the word “play” is written. At the bottom of the figure, there is a miniature circus inside a glass dome, as if it were a distant memory.
The elderly clown symbolizes an ironic view of life that has become increasingly rare, yet wishes to give one last gift: the gift of play—that is, not taking life too seriously, while acknowledging that one can stumble along the way, and that too is part of the game.
