Wolves are courageous; they chase chamois on the steepest slopes of the mountain, where humans risk death at every step. Wolves are clever; they follow avalanches in search of killed animals and walk in line on the snow, tracing the footprints of their companions to conserve energy. Wolves are free: they bow to the laws of the pack, but when there is no longer room among their brothers, they embrace a solitary life and seek out new territories.
